This week, in response to the devastating floods that have destroyed so many families’ homes and possessions  in Louisiana, the SourceMed team is banding together to help four families who lost everything recover by fundraising and gathering goods. We have set up a Corporate PayPal account where anyone can donate any amount of money.  All proceeds will be directly distributed to the families.

As part of that effort, a fundraiser was held at our corporate headquarters (100 Grandview Place) with a BBQ lunch where our 100 local employees and other tenants in our building could donate any amount for a “lunch plate”. Local folk-musician Kevin Harrison played music for the crowd.  All the food was donated by Dell. Inc. and SourceMed employees set up the smokers and grills at 7AM to prep for lunch.  Over $1,500 was raised at the lunch.  We’ll be collecting goods for the families and driving them down to them in the next few weeks.
